It wasn't hard to tell, but it certainly wasn't easy to convince.
My challenge here was to bring out what makes his work stand out from others, without going into too much detail.
I sat with his work for several days and thought carefully to find an answer to this challenge. Then, I recalled that Mr. Nakamoto once said “what determines the quality of my work is the impression that each piece makes on my eyes.”
Mr. Nakamoto is a potter who lives in a small town in Wakayama. His work is best known for its functionality in empathizing with people's lives.
It wasn't a process or a technique or even an attitude. Above all, it was the emotion that each piece evoked.
