“More than meets the eye.”

jiji is an apparel brand located in a small town in Wakayama Prefecture whose work ethic consists of purity of appearance, precision of work and joy of wearing.

Throughout each collection, I am tasked with visually elaborating their concept. For this season, it were primarily a pleasant feeling on the skin and a comfortability of wearing which cannot be reproduced using only surface of shapes.

Needless to say, photographs can capture more objective information than what our eyes instantly capture, but how that information is woven is totally depended on the perception of photographer.

With that in mind, I tried to create a story-like vision that evokes a sense of longing in the viewer, one that takes us to another level of imagination.

For those who choose to put on their garment, and a joy of wearing them.
